Custom Gathering Structure & Fire Pit | StateCraft
Sākihiwēwin Lodge – StateCraft Custom Steel Gathering Structure & Fire Pit
Ka Ni Kanichihk | Winnipeg, Manitoba
Located at Ka Ni Kanichihk’s Sākihiwēwin Lodge in downtown Winnipeg, this project is part of an Indigenous-led community space created to foster connection, culture, gathering, and belonging. Sākihiwēwin, meaning “love one another,” reflects the spirit and purpose of this welcoming space.
At the heart of the outdoor gathering area, StateCraft’s custom steel structure and fire pit provide a distinctive place for people to come together, supporting the facility’s broader vision of community building and cultural connection.
Featuring four large steel columns with nearly 90° welded bends, a powder-coated finish, and 36 perforated aluminum and rusted steel panels, the structure spans approximately 25' wide × 12' high.
