Our Contribution: Supply and cut weathering steel panels

A well-known structure in the downtown area of Winnipeg, the Place Louis Riel Parkade sits above several businesses and aside of an apartment complex of which this parkade services.

All panels are weathering steel or also known as Corten – steel designed to allow surface rust to build yet at the same time the core of the material to be highly resilient to oxidization and corrosion. For the purpose of this project, the rust appearance creates an aged look without compromising the safety of the patrons. The design in the panels allows significant light and air into the space while retaining privacy.
